Yes.but alot of the new skis today, are not just for a pro skier. Alot of theme have a bit if range of performance and ability.

Along time ago a good skier usually needed a good ski. This sort of has changed with the newer ones...

Derek, Once the Big Bertha golf reference was made, Kevin (Hollywood) chimed in about the new club he got. Going with my just cause you buy what the pros buy doesn't make you a pro theme I was trying to guide you with I couldn't resist having a little joke with Hollywood. You find in time as you get to know people here you can make some lighthearted comments and folks get a chuckle. As long as it is not vulgar and not in vain everyone enjoys some humor.

If you ever get a chance to attend on of the CCF reunions you too will meet some of the greatest people on the planet and come to be friends with them. They are accomidating, willing to help a bud out in an instant, knowledgable, generous, party animals, etc. etc.

There's an entire forum page dedicated to reunions, you'll see it listed under General Discussion. There are several in different locations around the country, the next one is in 2 weeks at White Lake NC. That will be my first, but I'm told the one in July in Green Lake WI is the biggie. Since there's a little more time to plan before then, you may want to look into making that trip.

There are slideshows that have pictures from the whole weekend. You should watch Caddyshack.

There is actually a section in the forums for it and a page on the site with slideshows.lol

Anyways, those reunions look great!

There should be one in Eastern Washington along the Columbia river. Tons and Tons of smooth water, perfect for skiing all day long. Also many ski courses hidden in shallow lagoons were only the brave go.

(We have a great view of the course in front of us. It is in a shallow area to one side of the lake. One side of it is the shoreline and the other is 8" deep sand bar. We lLove watching stupid people drive there boats up on to it. The course itself is only 4.5' to 10'. Pretty tight and scary)

Anyways, it would be a blast to have a reunion there. Many lakes to choose from!

HAHA! That may be the best piece of advice I've seen given on this site to date. Listen to Hollywood young man, at least in this case, he speaks the truth!

Many many years ago I was out skiing and there were a couple of rookies along for the ride. When it was my turn I opened up the ski locker and pulled out my ski. The two commented....Oh he's getting out the old Billy Baroo.   "Oh Billy, Billy, Billy, Billy, Come on Billy"
