Can anyone help me? I bought my first boat (98' 196) 2 summers ago. one of my proudest day btw. last sunday i put it in for the first time of the year. fired right up and ran like a champ (as it always has). after the 2nd time stopping, it wouldn't start back up. it acted like the kill switch lanyard had been pulled. i'm not a motor guy. any thoughts? i'm not seeing a spark on the spark plug.

What motor do you have? Is the lanyard in the kill switch?
