Starting restoration of green 71 Ski Nautique (photos in diaries) Dazed and Confused.Replacing exhaust hose with old style wire reinforced 3" ID. Back exhaust pipes exiting boat through transom are 3". Problem is exhaust dumps off manifolds are only about 2.5" OD. No way this 3" wire reinforced hose will tighten down on these exhaust manifolds. How was this done from factory?
Thanks
Dave

Thanks DrCC
To clarify, I should put short "sleeve" of 2.5" ID smooth wall over manifold dump and then just put 3" OD hose over 2.5 " hose and tighten down.

The short piece of 2 1/2 ID hose as a sleeve worked great. No problem working 3 1/2 ID over the top for a tight fit.
THANK YOU

Double clamping is preferred and a USCG reg below the water line.

Sorry we seem to be photo upload challenged. The manifolds are straight w/o camel hump at back end. Collector is about a 60 degree downward angle ending up in 2.5 inch OD. Casting # are 1103(?) 982 and
