I just bought an orphaned Fish Nautique, and intend to restore it. The biggest two problems are that the original Console was left at a shop somewhere here in Orlando and is no longer with the boat, and the gas tank was bad and had been removed and disposed of so now I have no template to use to have a new one made.
If anyone in the central Florida area has or knows where I can find a complete original console for a late 80's 23ft Fish Nautique or knows the dimensions of the tank please contact me or reply to this post.

I have the under floor tank out of an '86 Fish Nautique that I can measure & send the dimensions, plus a couple of pictures. Let me see if I have time this weekend to get the information. Also I might know where to find a console so I'll check & let you know.

Here's some info for the tank out of an '86 fish, let me know if you have any questions. I'm also in Orlando so maybe we can share plans & help get the projects done!

I hit reply to both of your notes about the parts, but I did it to the email notice and just now found out they were directed to the wrong person. The photos are great, but please send future emails to me directly and I will get the replies back to you right away. Here is what I said about the photos of tank this morning:

Hey there,
I am still waiting to see if the console is available, but if I can get my hands on it then the tank and engine cradle are next. I did not realize there had been some type of aluminum engine cradle, but the guy I bought it from called me to let me know about something else he had for sale and he mentioned that he had taken it out and scrapped it. I hate A**holes that do stuff like that!! For a few bucks in aluminum scrap he robbed a part that is likely to cost me $100 to have copied. Now that I know it is gone it is easy to conclude that the engine alignment will be dramaticly affected it a new one is not made to the factory specs, so please let me know if you have one that I can measure. I would be happy to come out and meet you and perhaps we can work on fixing our boats as a team. I work with boats and have turned wrenches as both a professional marine and auto mechanic, but I hate doing glass work, and that is the one other thing this project is going to need that I have always stayed away from when buying all my other projects boats (I have about 8 boats) From what I gather the original owner (it changed hands two or three times without getting rebuilt) liked to fly off of big waves, and the bouncing caused cracks to form below the engine area along the inner most chines. The guy I got it from said they grinding was done before he bought it, so I have no idea what the damage really looked like, all I know is about 36" of gelcoat is ground down along each side, and there is likely a need for serious reinforcing inside the hull.
