I just bought my first Correct Craft! 87 Barefoot with orginial trailer! I am excited!
Does anybody have the actual weight of the boat? Trailer? Tongue weight? Axle Weight? etc....... My truck has a faily light weight tow package and I am worried that the boat may be too heavy. Thanks for any help!!!! |

Dave,
I seem to recall my '86 SN listed at about 2300 lbs dry....not sure about the trailer. I can also tell you that if you live in a hilly area like here in the Poconos you will definitely need good brakes! Rob |

Yeah, Rob is right, pulling is one thing, but alot of people overlook stopping power, which is also important. The way people drive today, I'm nervous pulling my boat down the road. I do know, from experience that with ABS brakes on the rear of my truck, and you lock the front wheels up, my truck and boat will travel straight and not jackknife.

No brochure for 87, but there is one for 88. The specs should be very similar. BKH |

I tow my SN 2001 with a Durango, rated to tow 5500 and my 6 cyl F-150 rated at 2900. Both downshift on bridges, here on the Gulf Coast it's all flat ground except for bridges, and both pull well and stop well. I have towed with a S-15 Jimmy and it did a good job.
