I have all out including the cable, went easy, what i don´t see in my set up is no steering block/stop or similar.

Should the rudder have some kind of stop to prevent is from going 360?

Nope, once you attach the cable it can't go 360.

The "block" is the attaching point/ support where you bolt the cable/Housing to just in front of the rudder, then the end of the cable gets bolted to the rudder arm.

Just like the one you took out ---I think. LOL

the steering "stops" are the cable fully extended and fully retracted.

make sure you are getting the rudder to turn to right and left pretty equally before you button it all up.

you may end up adjusting this a little bit if the prop rotation makes it turn tighter one way than the other.

I set mine where they are equal and it seems fine there for me.

Bought a rotary system made locally along with the cable, with a Uflex tilt column, for $340 wich seems to be a good price. It looks pretty stout. Could have been cheaper if I opted for a fixed column though...
now I need to make some time to install it

some pictures of the helm and column...

the cable rolls inside the helm, so the cable end does not exit from it like other systems.

Be sure to send us the pictures

On a more serious note, are you have trouble with routing it through the hull?

Yep, even though I left a guide rope to pull the new cable in, its getting stucked somewhere...But hell if I was able to pull the old cable out, I guess eventually I will be able to slide the new one in. More time and patience will be needed...Hope round #2 will be in my favor!

Hmmm, I ran into this with wiring. Sometimes if you can form the connection between the guide rope, and the wire/cable you're pulling, into a little arrow with duct table, you be able to get thru better.

If the "head" of the thing you're trying to pull is too chunky, it's bound to snag. A little bit of pushing from the other side would help to, hence the extra set of hands I guess.

round 2: kapla 2 cable 0! winner kapla!

lol went with the help of my inlaw this morning,
with the second set of hands cable went easely.
Then install went pretty straight forward, had to drill new holes in the dash for the new column, old ones got covered below the wider column so no ugly visible holes in the dash.

Went for a test drive and works fine. Still need to do some adjustment on centering the wheel.
Steering goes smooth, I can turn to both side with ease, but a little of more effort is required when doing rigth turns. Is this something to do with the prop wash? normal or needs some attention?

Not sure, mine seems to take a lot of effort coming out of turns at speed. I'm thinking it's more the rudder, but I've never disconnected it from the cable to see. Is your rudder port greasable?

when the cable is disconected the rudder moves freely, at least on the dock, not sure how it would behave underway....

no grease and no packing, it was modified and its sealed with 3 rubber O-rings
