Art,
If you're going into local marinas, you are going to the wrong spots. Most of them probably have never heard of a Palmer. However, with few exceptions, all the marinizers of engines purchased the RWP's. so hopefully, there is some ID on it and it's a common pump. Sherwood (one of the most popular) would stamp their pumps model numbers on the machined face of the cover plate. See if you can find the model. Don't go by the Palmer it's on. Have you tried Jamestown distributors? Or, give Depco Pump a call and see if they have a rebuild kit for it. If that fails, pull it apart and you should find the seal and bearing numbers. (or measure them) Your local power transmission distributor can get them. BTW, do we have any pictures of your boat? |

Art,
What's the status of your RWP problem? I see you were on site today early afternoon. Did you find the rebuild kit or the seal and bearing? Fill us in. If you still have a problem, we can't help unless we know what's up. |

Pete will know for sure but I think Palmer and Thermo Electron are names of the engine marinizer. The raw water pump would have been sourced from a pump manufacturer and should have the name and pump number usually on the cover, but somewhere on the pump.

Art,
We are trying or best but it seems you can't even read our comments when we are trying!
Just as Gary mentioned, get the info off the PUMP and not the ENGINE!!!! Did you even try to get in touch with Depco? |
