 I am having trouble finding a battery short enough to fit in the factory battery box in the floor of my 86 BFN. It says inside the lid that it takes a Marine 24 at 9-1/2" H but I measure 8" (8-1/2" to the bottom of the lid) for the 454. FYI: I do not have the old battery as I am bringing it out of long term storage. What battery are ya'll running? Any help would be appreciated! Steve |

A Group 65 fits in the box great.
Ive run a number of Everstart Maxx-65N (Walmart) with good results. Reasonably priced, good CCA's, good warranty, seem to have good longetivity. |
