Someday I hope to be able to contribute to this site; however, right now I just need to get the "basics" figured out. So here it goes ... Is this the correct Dextron fluid for my '94 SN with the PCM 1.23 transmission ... I have read my incomplete manual and failed to get an answer from any auto/marine shop that I visited. As always, thanks in advance.

Yes, conventional dex/merc or dex III is what you want.

TRBenj,
Thanks ... curious, is there a difference between the two ... "conventional dex/merc" and "dex III" ... i.e., are they the same thing?! If you have Dex III in the transmission, can you top off with "conventional dex/merc" or vice versa? |

DexIII is the latest version. It is backwards compatible, so the only reason I can think of for a store to be selling DexI or II is they have old stock.
Use the new stuff. |
