I am happy to announce that my first grandchild, Felix, was born last night. He was delivered by emergency
C-section four weeks early after my daughter became ill and he went into distress.
Felix is now in an isolette in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Victoria General Hospital (Victoria, B.C. Canada) where my daughter worked as a nurse until last month. My daughter feels lousy but will be fine and we believe Felix will be fine after they pump him up in the NICU for a while. We drove in from northern Wisconsin today and catch a plane to Victoria tomorrow. I can't wait to pick out his first PFD!

Exciting times John. Enjoy every minute!

Congrats Gramps. Great that everyone is doing well after the "excitement".
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

Congrats John!!!

- Gun control means: using BOTH hands!
- Money doesn't make one happy, but when it rains cats and dogs, it's still better to cry in a Porsche than on a bicycle...
