I was looking though some old pictures on my phone and wasn’t sure if I posted these before but you all should enjoy them.

A while back one of my trucks had an in-frame motor rebuild. The same month tranny was rebuilt as well. After $14K I was looking forward to getting the truck back in service. These are on-site shredding trucks so renting another truck during downtimes is not an option.

A brand new fuel injector tip split in the #2 cylinder after 4months and caused a whole mess of problems. It over fueled the cylinder. We had to have the motor torn down and overhauled a second time and replace a ton of parts. The injector manufacturer pointed to the garage and the garage pointed to the injector manufacturer.

Anyone want to guess what it cost me in parts, labor and down time?

Expensive. That was a big problem on the 5.9 common rail Cummins when all the rednecks would crank the rail pressure up to the moon. The injector spring didn't have the capability to close the injector at extremely high rail pressures and it would go static and over fuel the cylinder and make pistons look like yours.

Bosh injectors I presume?

Can't you just send whomever is at fault through the shredder as payback??

Not sure on the injector brand.

Owning heavy trucks are like first loves. In the beginning it is great but deep down you know that it won't last and she'll eventually break your heart.
