The Hood scoop on my '79 Mustang is pretty trashed. There is also a "mustang" emblem missing from the passenger side of the dash i'd like to get my hands on.

I'm also looking to replace the single observer seat with a rear facing 2-person seat, perhaps from a similar year model, so i can use the ski pole more often.

the vinyl in my boat is a white/off white with buttons, the P.O. said it was all original, but I can't say for sure either way.

i'm looking for something about like this for the observer seat.

Stephen,
remove the scoop and rebuild it with some glass and resin. Since it is vinyl, the repair doesn't need to be the greatest looking.

What ever you end up doing,do not get rid of the old one. Someday you will be sorry--- don''t ask why.

Pete is right about the scoop- a simple glass repair followed by new vinyl will have it as good as new. The trick is matching the original viny color- nothing out now has quite the same texture or marbling.

You're correct about the interior- looks original right down to the buttons! Definitely don't throw anything away if you swap parts out. Stuff like those buckets would be impossible to find again.

I have a mustang emblem listed in the parts for sale section- email me: trbenj@gmail.com
