I seem to remember a product discussed on here to coat the inner lining of old boat fuel tanks. I called jamestown dist today with no results. does anyone remember the brand name or supplier?   its for a mid 80s honda motorcycle that has pin holes.. On another note are people outside of my area building small 250 to 350 70s and 80s asian bikes into retro cafe racers? it seems to be a growing interest here . pretty cool stuff and some good reengineering.

Peter,
I posted the restoration of the gas tank for my 1915 launch. I believe this tank I sealed with stuff from Eastwood

I have used a product from Bill Hirsch in the past on my Hondas,MG and tractors. So when I redid my boats tank I put it in there too, never had a problem. In Illinois you cannot buy any gas without ethanol in it so it held up well. Bought one tank of fuel in Florida and whatever is in the gas here dissolved it making a mess. I have heard in the past that por does the same thing and in fact thought I was safe and up until this summer was so you never know. Do some on line checking before you buy anything.

Peter,
I found the thread on my launch tank repair Page 3.
Now I remember that I looked on line and found the KSB product. I was looking for something that would hold up to the ethanol since I believe Gary had mentioned the issue way back. Regrettably I haven't even come close to putting gas in that tank so I can't say how good it words.
