I never gotten my dad something for father's day in a long time. I'm wondering what I should get him because he deserves to get something nice, but still cheap . He's done so much for me and provides everything he can. Most of you guys are Father's and enjoy all of the same things. What are some ideas of gifts?

Problems about that,
1: I mow the lawn always because i have to.
2: The boat is more mine then his.
3: He has no truck, my mom does.
4: I tell him that every night, if I don't, I feel guilty.

What about tools? When I was younger, I always lost some of his. A wrench kit? HELP ME SOMEONE PLEASE.

These Snap on ratcheting screw drivers are really nice to have. There are less expensive versions of the same out there, but these are good quality. MAC probably has the same thing for a little cheaper, other brands a lot cheaper. It's very handy:

One word, Vampliers!! My brother and I have exchanged these already and both gotten good use out of them. I used them on my snowblower this winter, when replacing the scraper bar. I had worn the bolt head fasteners down on the pavement to very smooth nubs. I thought I was going to be, err, screwed, trying to unscrew them. No problem for the Vampliers:

This Small Wet Dry Vac is just the right size for quick cleanups, vacuuming out cars/trucks/boats. This model is a subtle update on a long standing one. This one adds an LED light to the nozzle for vacuuming under car seats etc. The no light version has been out there for a while and has gotten very good ratings.

Thanks for the suggestions Brian, the vampliers may be the winner.

Gas money to Green Lake. Bonus, he gets to spend time with you, and you with him, on the drive.

My fathers day tradition now includes reading the Boating Memories With Dad thread started by BKH (Thanks Brian!). It costs nothing but the thread is priceless and shares a great message about the power of combining dads, kids, and boats. Don't forget to add a story of your own.
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.
