I received a DVD from Marty Mabe the other day with the above tilte about the history of White Lake. Very interesting and a must see for anyone that likes that area. Quite a bit in it about water skiing and Correct Crafts. We watched it last nigh at Dave's birthday party. We are all pumped for White Lake 2016.. Thanks Marty!

Yea, I enjoyed it also. Very cool. I grew up going to White Lake my entire life, so I found it very interesting. My mother turns 80 tomorrow and she grew up 7 miles from White Lake in Clarkton, NC . She spoke many times about hearing stories that there was a gator in White Lake but she never believed it, nor did I. Now it seems more possible, but I do not see how they would survive the winter months. I do remember the ski ramp, ski team and the glass bottom boats ( The Lilly).
I am looking forward to showing the DVD to my parents. There also is a book available with more photographs at the same web-site that you can buy the DVD at: www.whitelakemovie.com . Thanks Marty. |
