Hi, just joined today as I am looking for a project CC and found a potential one nearby. I am a newbie but have restored historic homes for a living so time to try a boat (certifiably insane). Looking for an insight on the 22' express (not a bullnose) I am looking at in the picture. The fiberglass salon roof is gone, and the question is were they one piece removable or were they glassed in place or ?
Thanks! |

Bob,
Welcome to CCfan. It sure looks like you are "insane" to take on a project like that but in all honesty, I have seen worse so keep moving forward. The larger CC's are rare plus not many were made so I'm going to say finding a salon roof may be next to impossible but keep looking. Information is limited as well. The only info I know of is in our reference section and that's just a few pictures. Keep us informed and we love to see more pictures.. |

The black boat on the right looks to be a Chris Craft. Maybe a Cavalier (plywood).
I would think that If you are not dead-set on that particular model, with just a little more searching you could find a more complete candidate. Finding that top could take a long while. |

Thanks for replies. I'm going to look at it again this week, take some pictures and post them, maybe this is just a little past my skill level.
Thanks again, BB |

A boat like that should be free for the hauling. It would cost the seller $ just to landfill it.

Bob, This link is for a Chris Craft not a Correct Craft???? You mentioning a "bullnose" had me wondering if you did find the wrong site. |

Anyway, a fiberglass overlay is the kiss of death to a wood boat, right Pete?
