Hey guys, I need help finding an engine for the 93. Preferably a GT40. The engine it had in it was the Pro-Tec controlled Carb'd PCM 5.8. The first pictures are where I found the boat, flooded off it's trailer. They had torn off the heads and intake manifold, decided the block was cracked (still don't know how they came up with that diagnosis). So, the backyard mechanics stopped there, and let the engine get water in it, a couple rat nests in the cylinders, and in general, totally ruined. I am hoping to rebuild the transmission, or find a GT40 with Transmission from a repower. Please help her come back to life. For some reason I really love this boat.
Any clue if that engine would have the GT40 heads? or anything that may be worth saving? We pulled it, and have stripped it to almost bare block.

Two questions before answering, what's the affinity for electronic injection, and what is the intended use of the boat afterward?

Electronic injection for ease of use. This is going to be a slalom tug for the adults and will stay in the water a lot. Want the wife and kids to be able to lower the lift, start it and go. It will be getting Perfect Pass Stargazer, so instant throttle response is best. I don't know carbs that well, also..

I'm kinda confused. Is the existing engine complete but no good and not rebuildable? I'm pulling a running rather strong Pro Boss this weekend with a weak cylinder, has 520 hours but new Gt40 heads. The plan is to keep it but I might be able to be talked out of it if that helps ya.

Is it fuel injected, and weak cylinder means low compression?
Yes, engine appears complete, just really bad shape. Really bad
How much do you want for it?

I have no other info, but I stumbled across this looking for Nautique in Jax.

I called Jody today but didn't catch anyone. Just hung up. I couldn't come up with anything that would have made sense in a voicemail. He's a little less than a 3 hour drive from here. I may crate up what's left of the engine and go east to Panama City.

Did you ever find your engine? I have a PCM 351 out of a 1993 Ski Nautique.

No, I haven't yet. Does it run? How much? And where are you located?
