Hello.
I was looking for a battery cover / cooler cover. I purchased one from an 82 nautique and it was different! Not big enough. So, I'm interested in an 83 or compatible one. |

CC is noted for inconsistencies so it may help if you post the actual size of the cover you are looking for. |

Shouldn't have been different 82-83... Post some pics of your box and the cover the doesn't fit.

The literal dimensions are 11.25" by 16.25". Probably for clearance for a 11" x 16" lid. Pictures:

The old lid didn't fit. That's why I posted pictures of the container itself. I'd assume by the measurements from the boat itself it would be 11"x16"? If you're interested in the old lid yourself, I'll get the dimensions it's at the lake :)

I may be interested in the lid if you can't use it, but I'd like to know the dimensions and understand why it didn't fit! I was under the impression that those box/lids did not change for a long period.

I believe they are interchangeable... Pretty sure that was the case on my 84.

I was under the impression that the 82 would fit an 83 or 84. The carpet on my lid matches your boat. They guy said it was off of an 82, but it is too small of a lid. My 83 and 84 will interchange. I'm just missing one lid. If anyone has one, let me know.
