Lock,
A big welcome to CCfan. It's always a pleasure to add another member especially one with a wood CC. You've been hiding from us! I feel your best option on the windshield will be to fabricate one. You have all the hardware and molding. The hardest part will be finding the trim for the top edge but there is snap on that's real close to the original. Tell us more about the boat. Also, do make an entry into the diary section. |

I just submitted a "diary" story about the boat, but I guess the powers that be need to review and approve it before it goes up on the site - should be up soon I think. Might you have any "fabricator" vendor recommendations? Thanks very much!

Lock,
Yes, Keith needs to approve all diary entries. We sure don't want non CC's in there! For someone that could fabricate a new windshield, the first thing I'd suggest is getting in touch with the Lake Tahoe chapter of the ACBS. If your aren't a member, join!! In every chapter, there are members who can help with restoration issues. I'm sure they will have an idea of someone in your area. |

Lock,
Fabricating the replacement is pretty easy and you may want to take on the project yourself. It's cold formed so it doesn't need any forms for heat bending. For the edge trim. give Tap a call. They have the silver by the inch. They would also be an excellent source for the actual windshield material. Your old is acrylic but discuss what you are doing with Tap for their opinion on a material selection. |

Yes, keep it original. You haven't been an ACBS member long enough to find out about originality have you! |
