Hey Guys- I need to reapply pinstripe to about 10 feet or so on my 2000 Ski Nautique project boat. I don't want to buy a 150 foot roll from Nautiqueparts. The boat is Navy/Neutral so it's the standard gold pinstripe CC used in late 90's/early 00's.

Here is what I need:

http://www.nautiqueparts.com/accenttapepinstripegoldmetallic14.aspx

I found a website where I can buy a smaller roll for cheaper. Question is the color "Gold Metallic" or "Light gold metallic?"
Pinstripe

Also- if anyone has any extra they can spare I would be interested. Need about 15-20 feet total.

I can't answer your question but what project boat wouldn't need a full buff and new stripe all around? Pics!

This one!

Needed a lot more than a buff and polish...

Here was how it looked at the end of last year. I will update the project thread eventually.

Looks great! So most of the pin survived the buffing?

It's called ultra metallic from universal products. FYI, even the same color code from the same mfg doesn't always match. So it you but up stripes together they will likely be the wrong color. Common Peter a 150 foot roll is only like 25 bucks.

No all the decals came off. There were many many hours of wetsanding that needed to be done as well as some gel work which I did myself. Not a perfect match but the boat is far from perfect anyways.

Zach- I had a bunch of those mini rolls laying around that used to come with the new boats and you're right- they aren't exactly the same! In fact, one of the rolls had a top piece of film on it that said "Peel." Well guess what- over time that transferred onto the pin itself so if you looked closely the side of the boat said Peel Peel Peel Peel! Luckily I think most of that faded.

Yeah yeah- I may just go ahead and buy the whole roll for $22...

Haha, honestly even if you could find smaller rolls it would probably cost you more money to buy the smaller quantity. Seems as if the industry standard for pinstripe is 150' rolls all day.
