I have a barefoot with a 454, ecm just recently quit, replaced with a distributor and coil, but engine still doesn't run good. Nautique sells a conversion kit to do same, has anyone ever used it?

When you say dosen't run good what do you mean? Are you talking about using the convertion kit, what kit?

Nautique offered a conversion kit, a mallory distributor, coil, wiring harness for $700.00 I bought the items thru Summit Racing for $200.00 The wiring is pretty basic to bypass the existing wiring. The engine misses really bad, and won't idle.

I assume you used a marine distributor? That shouldnt affect how it runs, but an automotive unit would be a safety hazard. I agree with Bradley950, check the simple things first- start with the firing order.
