The carbon fiber didn't show up until the 2019 SN.so that's got nothing to do with the weight gain of the club 200 over the 200's from years past |

I don't get it either. Figured it was the same hull, which would make sense, why not monetize that proven hull design and not go into R&D for much of anything new to keep the price down. I can't see where the 500 lbs. is hiding, or why it is a good idea.
In terms of the boat and how it will sell, I don't have a clue about the marketing etc. like Zach or someone else that spent time in a dealership does, but to me they could have slotted in the 200 Ski at a lower price point to the new Ski, just left out some or many of the goodies which would steer many/most new boat customers to the new version. But what do I know. I do think it's a good looking boat. |

At 80K, I'd spend the extra buy the new top of the line ski boat. That's just me. BKH |

Nautique finally made a great looking boat again. At about $55,000 instead of a starting at price of $79,000 they would sell as many of those as they could make. I would even suggest returning to analog gauges. Simplicity adds to reliability. Order without the roll-bar as it does not look good and places the bimini to high above the driver compartment to provide much shading for the driver. I also like that it looks like my 1999 Air Nautique with a Sea Deck Interior. I am feeling like I stole my boat compared to these asking prices. This is the only boat (by appearance only) that Nautique has made in many years that I would consider buying if their pricing was more inline with what I suggested.

Don't Nautiques typically sell for MSRP less 15%-20%? So that puts this boat in the $60's?
Malibu had their "camp boat" at the Boston boat show last year and it was in the low $50's for the boat show. The 200 is a far nice boat than that and well worth the extra $10k. |

And it doesn't last, my boat is 6 years old and I'm replacing all of it this winter. Brown is faded to a light tan and looks terrible. My boat is stored indoors,, only in the sun when being used on the weekend. Can't imagine what happens to a Florida boat. |

That is why I bought a bunch from China and am going to make my own. Fortunately, I have access to a CNC so the cost will be less than carpet and I only have to replace the pieces that need it. If all goes well, I might be able to make pieces for others. ![]() |

I think we talked about this before but they had big issues with UV exposure when it first came out. I stuck a tan set on the back of my Aunt's Searay maybe 5 years ago and it still looks new. They use the boat basically every weekend and it isn't particularly well cared for. it is covered when not in use though. The current stuff should hold up much better for you Alan. Removing it is awful. We used to used heated razor blade scrapers. |

CNC what? Plasma, laser, water jet, wire, router, mill? Just curious as to what you are panning to use to cut it. |

It is a 5 axis router. I am not sure if a plasma, laser, wire or mill would work. Never thought about a water jet either. I believe that the router vacuum table type would work best because you need to run it dry and without too much heat. We have been successful in cutting thin Styrofoam on it and I believe this will be easier. I will take some video of when we are cutting it. |

I've gotten the new Seadec already Zack and it is different than what came with the boat. I complained about this to Nautique when the boat was just a year or two old and they wouldn't do anything about it, I then complained to Seadeck and they finally offered a small discount on replacement but it was the same product as what I had so I passed. They said it was being reformulated so I figure I'd wait until mine was really shot and then buy the new product. Not looking forward to removing the old stuff though, I've watched all the Youtube videos and it does look like a lot of fun. |

I wonder how one of those 3m decal removal wheels used in a drill would work?

I sure hope so too. I'm struggling with how any company could develop a product for the exterior without any UV protection! ![]() |

I used rags soaked in Mineral spirits sitting on the glue to remove the adhesive. A few minutes of soaking and then a plastic scraper or razor blade took it off easily. |
