Thank you, Hard to believe the boat's been done for 4 years now but it is showing a little wear. When I get back from the River run it is going into the garage for a few refresher coats of varnish and some touch up on paint.

Yeah most of us whine about gel coat fade—you’ve got a wood boat to contend with. Just seeing that boat on its trailer in the barn is a Huge understatement of what it takes to maintain that treasure.
If all you have to do is some touch up every 4 years—that says a lot about how well that boat was built to begin with. |

Peter, I'm not following your logic here. Paint and varnish refreshing really has very little to do with how a wood boat was built. In fact, finishes have vastly improved through the year. It used to be a coat of varnish every year!. |

My fuzzy logic however skewed is trying to point out that with four years of regular use, the only work you need is some touch up and a fresh top coat of varnish! That’s amazing!
