So my oldest has always been the wake rat and he is now near graduation then off to serve his country. The middle boy can ski and ride but mainly because his big bro muscled him into it and truth told, he could care less. He would rather be fishing than just about anything. The youngest, my daughter is now 13 and is one of those kids to which most things come easy so yeah, she can ski and ride but has shown zero interest in the last several years. At this point I'm thinking of selling the tug and getting something different. that is more versatile for the area. IE another mid 20s CC with single outboard.
Saturday night my little girl pops up out of the blue and says:"I put a girl crew together Dad, can you take us wake boarding tomorrow?" Uhh.. sure Punkin. 10am good? Next day two girls I taught to ride years ago roll in and they stayed in that freezing ass (68*) water (85*air) all day, riding skates and boards, Doubles soon became the thing and then they started one upping each other on wake tricks. They want to go again this weekend. My daughter hasn't strapped on a board in 3 years preferring to skate. Guess I'm keeping the tug a little longer. Kids is crazy |

It's great that the kids are into a sport that has to be learned and requires skill. A lot of kids seem to only want to tube! If only they knew what they were missing!

That is awesome. For what it’s worth my interest in skiing was minimal until late high school, fishing took priority until then. My sons (3yo & 5mo) don’t get the exposure to water sports since mom hates water sports and the old guys I ski with don’t want kids around. I’ve been doing ok getting my oldest into fishing. He loves dumping the bait overboard.

Oh man. my old Sea Ox had an in floor livewell and I would throw the net and load it with Piltchers or greenies and the boys could spend all day catching and squeezing the guts out of that bait. Special times when they where little.

Funny thing is that's where my user name comes from, not directly but close. It was my late fathers boat and he would would take my boys out to (catch fish) kill bait. He was soon dubbed Baitkiller by my charter captain friends. My real handle is Baitkiller2.
