I’ve always been a believer that being able to easily service your bilge pump out at sea is as important as having one altogether. My 1965 Barracuda pump needed to be replaced. After spending 2 hours getting it free from the bilge, I decided to make a new mounting system that will enable me to un-mount it in less than 2 minutes. I created a pictorial that I hope you can understand how I did it. Enjoy…Scott

Nice looking setup. Probably gets it down a little further in the bilge vs. a flat area to screw into.

Scott,
Nice idea. I like it.

800 gph! Wow, you must have a problem. Gortex makes some really good packing. Maybe you should check into it for your rudder and shaft packing glands?

Nice job. I haven't seen that type of pump before. Does it have a built in float? It must have a pretty low profile? I had originally installed the bilge pump in our Cuda just behind the bulkhead, but it could only be accessed through the console, ( a real PIA). I since moved it back, but could not put it where you have it as the pump is too tall.
