You sure you aren’t missing a digit? A complete hull number is a part of the puzzle but pics would also be helpful.

So art cozier told me SN on mine means Ski Nautique, not serial number. So your should start with M for mustang   And so on FN=fish nautique.   Interesting to see if correct

My apologies, My memory is not good. I don't know where 147 came from, The number is M 2585.
Both of you were "correct".

My '68 is M 2296, so I agree with Tim on yours. Do you have the wide or narrow instrument panel?
