Yes, I designed it.
Hobby Boats can be expensive when the hobbyist is limited on their own skill and expertise.

Here's how Tim did it by modifying the tiller arm. Regrettably the Photobucket scam got to the pictures.

Since I can still see the pictures in the link to TRB's pipe thread Pete, I figure it's time for a Christmas present a couple days early

Click on the link below and download the first fix in the list, it's the Photobucket Hotlink Fix by bridgetroll.io and you should be able to see the Photobucket affected stuff normally again using Google Chrome.

I have the third one down by Grant Gryzcan downloaded also but the first one seems to be the cure right now.

Whenever I have an issue with the pictures, I go shopping at the Chrome Store for the latest fix, download it and try it.

I think you can handle this and you'll be one up on Photobucket once again

link

Or here's a link to the previous thread about this that was last updated in October with the same fix from bridgetroll.io and it worked for people here on CCF

I should have stated why I needed to know this info. I have a one off 99 Sport Nautique that I recently inherited. The hull has over 4000 hours. This is the boat I took my first jump set behind, ran a course behind, had my first beer, etc. It's pretty special to me. Being that its 20 years old and sat for the last couple, I made it my mission to restore this boat to better than showroom condition. Not only does it need to look better than the day it left the factory, it needs to perform better. The original numbers matching gt40/block is still with the boat. While she ran great over the summer, it was time for an overhaul or what I like to call the "GT408". The exhaust manifolds are now GLM 4" ford's. To get the flow I want, I am going python style but needed to figure out how to route 2 x 4" exhaust tubing out the transom of the boat. Below is a link to the boat intstagram if you want to see pics. There's also a thread on this forum.

Long winded I know but gotta tell a story lol.

Thanks for all the info in this thread! I really appreciate it!

The python boats (at least the direct drives with symmetrical exhaust outlets) have them pushed all the way up against both stringers. Neither would line up with the single 4” outlet found on the non-python boats.

Fill one hole and cut 2 new ones if you’re already doing gel work.

Definitely doing some gelcoat work, entire deck and hull are being sanded down re-sprayed with the original oem gelcoat. The interior will be filled, blocked, and sprayed with neutral white gelcoat to prepare for seadek.

Unfortunately, all of links above dont show or state how to modify the rudder arm. Because my exhaust tubing is 4", I need to run my exhaust the Python route up against the stringers. But again, not sure how to clear the rudder arm and steering cable support mount.

I know the pics don’t show the modifications.

You’ll need to relocate the steering cable support bracket. Hose will clear the tiller arm.

Any idea where I can relocate the support bracket?

Make a mount to place it on the strut mount,I think that's how American Skier and possibly others did it. I'll look for a picture

Yea it is pretty simple. You might have to make it longer or whatever to fit your boat and change out the mount screws but it should maybe save you some work with fitting that exhaust

“Possibly others” = correct craft on many (other) models. I’m sure there are some good pics on here if you try searching.

Just looked at some older picture of the strut on my boat. Plenty of thread to build a plate and get that mount out of the way. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just put them straight up through the dog house zoomie style. Your back seat passengers will love it.

I never considered dual outlets on my Pro Air but I did have a Y-pipe welded up since the stock muffler was junk.
