Does anyone have a Ford or aftermarket part number for a GT40 PCV valve I can order off of RockAuto or local parts store?

I think I found it. Pictures look identical to PCM part.

You can also look up something like Ford F250 1997 5.8 or E250 van etc. Or '93-'95 Lightning

Maybe somebody will take a picture of what came out of a late 90's PCM 351. It would look something like this If you look at Rock Auto at let's say an 84 F250 with a 351 they lists this PCV. (the EV68) Look at the same 84 F250 with a 302 and it lists the EV 98 What's the difference? beats me, it might be the size of the nipple the hose hooks to or maybe a flow rate difference. I'd go with the 68, but that's just me |

I think you are correct, the EV68 is what I need. The 93-95 Lightning on RockAuto shows the EV68 too. |

Roughly 6 bazillion other Ford applications use the EV 68 too. It's been used for a lot of years on a lot of vehicles
and probably the same number use the 98 |

Okay, so now thats mostly sorted. How about the hose? Does anyone have a picture of a GT40 with the hose and valve? It was removed when I got the engine so I don't know how it specifically connects on this engine. I know it comes out of the oil filler neck, but where does the other side go? I'm more experienced with carbs where the outlet goes but this one is an EFI.

I don't have any of my books with me nor do I have any pictures but it does not connect up to the oil filler neck- it needs a vacuum source which would be most likely the upper intake. The oil filler neck goes the flame arrestor.

I'm thinkin' like Gary that it goes to that circled fitting in the lower corner...... but whether it's left or right, I'm a little confused. So PCV valve at back of intake with a short hose to that circled connection. Up front like Gary said, hose from flame arrestor goes to the oil fill tube. Air goes into the engine from the arrestor to the fill tube, through the crankcase , out the PCV and back into the intake at that circled fitting with the intake vacuum being the motive force to draw air through the PCV. |

Found this in service manual. Funny, your picture on your GT40 intake looks like a combination of the 5.0 and 5.8 in the service manual graphic! |

You should probably keep in mind that the service manual is more accurate for the OMC/Volvo versions of the engine that came a year or so before PCM started getting the engine from Ford.. That page right there is a good example of some inaccuracies PCM never had a 302 version of the engine and they never had the fuel reservoir/vapor separator that's mentioned there and covered elsewhere in the manual. There are a handful of other things too. It's kinda like they took the manual Ford made for the original engines for OMC/Volvo and did a lousy proofreading job and slapped their name on it |

Does anyone know the part number for the grommet in the VC the EV68 goes into? Mine has seen better days. Vacuum holding steady in gear idle @ 650 rpms @ 15 in Hg's. Thinking it needs to be a little higher not sure a cracked/worn PCV grommet would make it low but want to replace anyway.

One came with the new EV 68 valve I ordered from rock auto. The whole kit only cost $9.
