I've noticed in many engine pictures here that a lot of you guys have distributor boot covers installed. Just curious what the opinion is on these. I would think they could trap moisture as easily as keep it out. Are they worth it? They were not original on the GT40 correct?

They are OEM on the GT40s
They don’t fit so tight as to trap moisture if yours doesn’t have one it’s no big deal. |

Supposedly Ford used them on their cars to keep water off of the distributor. Keep in mind auto companies will try to save money on anything to make more profit. That said you get water on your distributor in your boat you have much larger problems.....
