Anyone running group 65 Batterym

Hey guys, been a while since i posted so hopefully this wasnt recently covered. I didnt see anything at least.
So.
The BFN just came out of hibernation from the winter and its time for a battery in the old girl and was wondering what size batts you guys are running.
Its currently got a group 27 in it, and shopping around i am finding the group 65s to offer a better cca than the 27s that are available. Curious what everyone is running.
Prices are fairly similar. So go with the 65 for more cca or stay the same size g27?
The west marine G27 1050mca (840 cca) @$128 winds up to be the cheapest however.

I JUST finished installing an Optima Red Top Group 35. I think it's a plenty good choice. This on a '96 SN 196.

Test fit before strap and clean out.

Ok so it did come with a 65. That makes sense, it looks like a 65 would fit better than the group 27.
I would prefer the most cca i can get without sacrificing durability.
Somewhere around the 750-1000cca would be ideal i think. My group 27 has 6 seasons on it and was originally a 650cca.
Last season cold starts were OK, but once she was warmed up it would crank really slow.
Starter was brand new when the new motor went in so i dont suspect its the starter. But it is possible.
So i got new battery cables and plan to retire this battery. If new cables and batt dont help im going to have to get the starter checked out.

Just wanted to update this.
The slow crank/hard start was 100% battery related. With the fresh battery installed it cranked much faster. My guess on the hard start was not enough signal to the carb with the slow cranks.
I went ahead and threw some new cables in anyways since i had already got them. Plus the old crimps and connections weren't very awesome. And i used the opportunity to install some mil spec cable ends instead of those automotive style ones that always seem to loosen.
For the record, two 2/0 and two 6 gauge wires WILL fit through the factory chase hole with exactly zero room to spare.

First day out and hot starts, cold starts, all good now. Thanks guys. The group 65 also fits much beter in the hole now with room for
