Hi:  I am ready to start my new stringers in floor in 1991 SN.  After taking out the wet foam and seeing the moisture on the hull, i really don't want to put new foam back.  My concern is with the hull strength, should i make the secondary stringer wider or maybe add some horizontal stringers or will the hull be just fine without foam.
thanks

Foam certainly plays a role in the structural rigidity of the NWZ hull. The 2 biggest considerations for removing it are the loss of floatation should the boat sink and having to add more structural members to compensate for the strength lost from the hull-foam-floor sandwich.

Kapla rebuilt his 92 several years ago and added a bunch of ribs in place of the secondary stringers (and no foam). Certainly an option worth considering since there aren’t any cavities (exhaust or otherwise) outside of the mains on that hull.
