Hi there fellow correctcraft owners. I was someone on this forum could help me to identify what part this is in my engine.
Is it an 02 sensor ? Oil Sensor ? I don’t know sensor ! It is located on the Stbd side and low of the engine. I checked the whole engine and it’s the only one. I also checked the engine manual of the 454 and 8.1L and no mention of a 02 sensor. Always thought they would be near the manifolds, etc.. I have an 8.2L PCM Python 99 SKi Nautique. I must admit I had no idea boats had 02 sensors in them, until I looked up the part on Skidim or NP. The sensor looks very similar to those pics. Any help identifying that would be great ? My concern I have a lot of all original parts and I want to make sure my engine is running at peak performance. So if there is any advice on changing them or a knock sensor I am all ears. Thanks |

This is kinda fun, guessing the part without a picture.
More fun than posting a picture tends to be If it's down low on the block, just above the oil pan, about halfway back, a little ways in front of the starter, it would be a knock sensor on your big block Chevy.. On the other side of the engine in the same location you'd find a coolant drain plug If it's somewhere else, I guess that picture will be handy In 99 the marine industry hadn't started using O2 sensors yet

I posted a pic, and that's what I thought.
Thanks for your help with this.

Is it easy to replace like an o2 sensor ? Or is oil going to start pouring out ?
