Thinking about removing the side ski shelves during the interior restoration /re-carpet on '78 SN. Thoughts, opinions??

CC seemed to have that dilemma over the years with the Ski Nautique.
![]() They had 2 for many years and in 1980 they only had the driver's side and had a fair amount more room to walk on the passenger side but some decent storage on the driver's side still. In 1981 they got rid of the driver's side too. Probably depends on how much stuff you did or didn't store in your shelves.

Yeah, those shelves are becoming eerily similar in function to my home treadmill that's now a towel rack. It'll make the re-carpet easier too.
