Question
Our barefoot nautique is a 1979 and the HIN starts with CTC000122... does anyone know if this is the order the boat was made? We were told this was the second one made but im not finding info that confirms that.
thanks

Aline, here is some info to help you decipher what you got. Looks to me that it might be #12 BFN

For boats made in the US between 72 and 84:

12 digit code

Example ABC 12345 1272
- First Three Digits are manufacturer code
- Next five digits are serial number
- Last four digits are month and year for date of certification. This is not the model year, but the date the boat was made.

Alternatively another code was used between 72 an 84:

Example: ABC 12345 M73E
Last four digits indicate model year with last digit representing month made as follows

A - August G - February
B - September H - March
C - October I - April
D - November J - May
E - December K - June
F - January L - July
"Morfoot; He can ski. He can wakeboard. He can cook chicken. He can create his own self-named beverage, & can also apparently fly. A man of many talents."72 Mustang "Kermit",88 SN Miss Scarlett, 99 SN "Sherman"

Thank you so much for your reply. Yeah i was trying to figure out how that could possibly be #2. Number 12 makes more sense. I know that this boat was in fact used in competition im just trying to find a little more about the history of it. I will keep searching.

Thank you again

ALINE
