Hi,
I was having some issues with my bilge pump popping the switches on my 1994 Sport Nautique. I decided to just switch out the bilge with an automatic float type and run it directly to the battery. That is working fine. The question is that when i push in either of the bilge switches there is something still running. Sounds like it is coming from near the back of the engine almost sounds like a small fan. Much quieter than my blower. I have had the boat apart a couple times and never saw a second bilge pump or anything. Does anyone have an idea what this could be?

It sounds like your second bilge pump. You likely have one near your drain plug and the stern one near the rudder rigging. It’s relatively easy to remove the engine cover, rear seat and middle floor if you have a helper. You do not even need tools for this. You can do it in 10 min to access the rear bilge pump. You could also put some water in the bilge to see if the rear one is in working order, or just humming.
