Good news, determined Neutral safety switch was causing boat to not start, by shorting out switch.
However, my father didn't notice the threads were reverse threaded when trying to remove old switch... I was able to remove the old switch, but all the threads came with it! Not the new switch won't torque at all. Any ideas on EASIEST/CHEAPEST way to fix this. Right now, the temporary fix is in, but I would like to fix correctly soon.

Umm........since this is your first post on CCF, nobody knows what the bad news or problem might have been other than guessing that your boat wouldn't start and you jumpered the NSS. Nobody knows what kind of transmission you're talking about in what kind of boat, either. I don't know what you mean by reverse threads on the NSS. They're normal right handed threads in Borg Warner and PCM transmissions You turn it left (CCW)to loosen it and right (CW) to tighten it, so if you grunted it to the right to loosen it, it's your fault the threads are stripped......not dad's. So.............. if you add some more information, you can probably get some helpful answers to get the right parts to fix your issue. And welcome to CCF
