we just rebuilt my sons GT40 engine in his Super Sport and the old engine threw a rod through the oil pan, so we are in need of one that will fit into the boat. Hoping someone might have one laying around they'd want to part with. Let me know what you got.
Thanks Dan |

If you don't find a used gt40 or 351HO oil pan with the windage tray in it, the earier PCM pans without the tray will work'
Or.....you can use an aftermarket pan like a Spectra FP-07A and an oil pump pickup that works with that pan like a Melling 83S2. The stock pickup won't work, it hits the pan. The FP-07A is slightly deeper at the back than the original PCM pan and the drain plug is on the bottom. It also has no dipstick provision but your engine should have a dipstick fitting in the block, unless you replaced the block with something older that doesn't have that dipstick fitting hole back by the #7 and 8 cylinders If you need a pan with the dipstick provision then a Spectra FP-07B is what you'd want. These pans don't have a windage tray, but neither does the big bucks replacement pan that PCM will sell you for 500 plus bucks. If you put a banjo fitting drain hose on the pan before you put the engine in the boat, you'll still have good clearance. Here's a link to an old thread with a comparison picture of PCM and Spectra There are other cross references to the same pan like Pioneer 501048, ATP 103028.to name a couple You could look for a pan for a 93 F-150 with a 351w engine. If you go to Rock Auto.com you'll find 4 or 5 different outfits PS... I looked under the same engine in the same hull before I wrote this to make sure there was clearance
