Title says it...engine was in my fish when it filled with rainwater (turns out if you put the plug in a boat while it's on the trailer...it's more like a bathtub on a trailer than a boat). Probably not worth much in it's current state, but the alternator is fairly new, the engine ran fine before it was in rainwater, etc.

On a pallet includes everything but a tranny (holley carb, oil pan, manifolds etc). Located in Suffolk, VA.

Make an offer.

No pictures...any specific questions you were hoping to have answered by pictures? (I won't be home for at least a week)

It's a PCM 351W, whatever the factory heads on that would be. It's either older or original (previous owner in Florida was half owner with his brother in North Carolina) and his brother either rebuilt it 6 years ago or replaced it 6 years ago, PO wasn't sure of which...but in either case, 6 years is the newest possibility for head design. As for rust, there's some, but the rain water didn't contribute to much...it was mostly there before it flooded. If you're serious about it, email me and we can talk and I'll get a friend to go over to the house and take the tarp off and get some pictures for ya.

I laugh about it now, but you would have a hard time fathoming the words and strings of words coming out of my mouth when I flipped up that console to change the oil and saw 2.5 feet of water instead of air and bilge.

Ok, can someone tell me if I can link to another site (another boating forum, for- dare I say- another brand of boat)? I can't get the pictures small enough to upload here, but I've got 6 pictures up on that other site.

Redneck,
Theres a link in the off topic forums here on CCfan telling you how to reduce the pics,or you can use this-- its very simple to use.

I used the wintools "resize pictures" feature, but even shrinking them down to a size not much bigger than the box I'm entering this text into has them at over twice the allowable memory size per picture.

Usually 800x600 brings pics within forums limits, so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or it's just different here.

LET ME EDIT TO SAY: I saw the link on Photobucket in Off Topic, I hadn't seen that. Thanks.

mine looked way worse then that and sat in salt water for a year! got it running and out on the water last week!

if the oils clean id say run it its prob just external rust remember these motors are sealed to keep water out and oil in.

There's no way the armiture in that starter is going to move. That's the first thing that needs replacing.. I'd probably say that if the water didn't get above the carb, you might have a chance. Everything electrical though would have to go..

PS: sorry to see and read that this happened to ya... The boat floors and foam must be hellish also, no??
