Fuel filter/water separator

   Well, some of you may remember me from my restore or replace question.  The plan is still a full restoration this winter after a few trips on the lake this summer.  I just pulled the boat out of storage where it has sat since last July.  As expected, it fired right up!  My question is how often should I replace the fuel filter/water separator element?  I have an 82 Nautique and the filter system is made by Fram.
