Hey guys,
I was wondering what you thought about this kit and carburetor. I want to rebuild the engine this summer. I am not really looking to make the engine a performance monster. I like how the stock engine runs with my 542, but it has 1500 hours and I figure since I am redoing the stringers, floor, and paint, I might as well rebuild the engine. The pistons are cast, not forged. What are the benefits to forged? I don't need a 350 hp engine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=010&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=200080332234&rd=1&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=300085972835&rd=1,1 |

I've always been parcial to Fel-Pro gaskets, Clevite 77 is the bearing you want. The carb has a diferent style fuel line hook-up but no big issue.
I would look at something like this, you need to get different front and rear seals national 17748 and 17795 |
