Our 302 rebuild has original (Ford Mustang) sump-forward oil pan. We need the proper pan (rear sump, perhaps?) and pickup for '65 Barracuda. Any recommendations for a supplier?
Yes, we are aware of rotation issues and have that handled. Thanks in advance. |

Thanks, Tim D. We used your picture to hone in on a 70's era Bronco oil pan for 302 Ford. Seems to be 'zactly the same as yours.

Tim, how does your dipstick tube affix to the pan? Where'd you get that oil drain hose? Does the oil drain hose work for you?

Mine looks like Tim's and the tube just pushes in with a little bit of force. It actually needs to be pulled out before you move the engine since it goes through a hole in the engine mount.

The dip stick tube goes in the hole plate you see mounted to the oil pan (small amount of rtv). The drain hose is home made. Just a couple of brass pieces. It works fine, just have to postion the hose beside the bilge pump so it lays down hill through the drain plug hole. I keep the end of it attached to the hose going up to the rwp.
