I have just made deal for a 18' correct craft with a 318 chrysler. I understand top speed is around34mph. Is there any way to increase crusing speed without major work. Prop? Do many of thses boats have chryslers? How do they perform? Any info will be appreciated as I am looking forward to enjoying this boat it is early 70"s

As Chuck asked on you other thread, what model is the boat? 34mph is not even competition slalom speed. If it is one of the ski models, it should run at least in the 40s with that V8. BKH

Horsepower was also different, depending on 2bbl or 4bbl carb.
