yes you could, but why would you do something that is contrary to the integrity of the boat?
Would you use car tires on the trailer,or a car battery in your battery box?????

So, what is wrong with a car battery? I have used car batteries forever. ??????

Doc- I use a car battery in mine also.As you might recall when you jumped into GL,it gets cold up here.The jeep gets a new battery often and the boat gets the old one.

I use a deep cycle battery with 1000CCA, no car battery here.
