Lookiing for a swim deck and ski pole-pylon. I'm also looking for pics of stock 68 mustangs for info on my rebuild.. I've seen the ones on this site, there good, but I'm looking for better interior shots.. Any help wood be great... Thanks Shawn

Shawn, You may end up having to fabricate the pylon as I rarely see them come up for sale. Not hard since they were welded together in steps using different diameters of pipe. You will probably have the bottom socket already glassed into the bilge at the keel but may need some floor reinforcement. I have seen holes in the floor drilled at the factory and then the floor covering put over it.
The swim platform isn't for a 68 is it? |

Pete, Thanks for the info. I know the Mustangs didn't come with a swim platform, but I would like to find a way to make one work. I've seen platforms on Mustangs. I'm not sure if they were made or off something else. As for the pylon, I have a fabricated one, just would like to have the Correct Craft version... Thanks again Pete and hope to send some pics of the rebuild. It's going to be one good looking Mustang!!!

Shawn, you stated you had built a pylon, did your boat have the socket already there?
My American Skier did not, boy was that a time eating endeavor.... As far as the rear deck,Alloy Marine will fab the removable mounts .You will have to build the deck, there is several on the site that have done so. So pics and sizes will be available if needed.Although not original,sorry Pete,the function not the form comes to mind....boat dr |

Thanks Boat Dr. I know it's not ORIGINAL to have a swim deck, but I will make sure it looks like an original. And I know the kids will like it better then the ladder....

Shawn,
I have a 69 Mustang (in project condition) and I can shoot some pics of the pylon for you tomorrow evening if the rain holds off. I can also shoot some interior pics, but I promise you they will be ugly. With regard to the platform (Apologies in advance to Pete), they are not that difficult to build if you have the right tools, temperment, space and time. Do a search on "Mark Mel", he did an awesome job on his. Although it is not for a Mustang, the theory and method apply. Thanks, Mike |

1969, if you could put a "return" between each pic, theyll all show up vertically instead of horizontally.

Thanks for the tip. Still original except I had the front seats done about 5 years ago. Yes its a 302. I like the red, but its a pain to keep the fading to a minimum, but working on these old ones is half the fun. Fred |

1969CC, That boat is georgeous. There is one on my lake just like that, only it's a 1970 and I think it has a 225 Chrysler. I remember when it was new in the show room at the local marina. I think they wanted $5k for it. It was let go though and has been repainted. It's not beautiful like yours.
