Bearings for CC #2 Trailer

There should be a bearing number on the bearing itself.If not,you can take the old bearing to any decent autoparts store or a industrial belt and bearing store and they can put a micrometer on the bearing and measure to see what you need.

Larry, I have found a boat and am going to get it this weekend. I'll post on Monday, once it's mine.

bmiller, Owner says they are good and is installing new buddy bearings. I will grease them all the way home. Owner says I won't have a problem, but if I had a new set of bearings in the truck with me, it would give me some peace of mind. If I don't need them, I can return them on Monday.

Riley, there are lots of different sizes of bearings. If you're concerned, I would say to take tools and repack them before you leave for the trip home. You really won't know what size they are unless you remove them first.

My # 2 has 1"x1" this traslates to a 1in. straight axle.
It could be a 1"x 1 1/16" these were the most common way back when..
The newer sizes are different..........

This was posted on CCF a couple weeks ago. It was just what I was looking for. A project that is within my capabilities, (I hope). I love the 66-67 CC. The model and color are perfect. It's got a gas pedal, which is what I wanted, and a CC trailer.

It's got a 100 hp Interceptor straight 6. I don't care that it is a "pooch" because I've got 2 other ski boats, one which is a rocket.

The gel coat is in really good shape with few scratches. It has some kind of vanish on it that has worn off in spots, but is thick in others. I believe I can make it look pretty decent.

The boat was dirty. The picture is after it got its 1st bath when we got home last night.

I forgot my camera today, but we took it to the camp, where we proceeded to clean it and then take it apart. I took the interior out, ripped the floor out because it was rotted and wet. We then took out most of the foam which was soaken. I think the stringers are fine, and it just needs some of the strapping replaced. After I get all the foam out I will figure just how I am going to do the floor.

The tranny needs to be rebuilt. I figure maybe by next summer sometime, I will have it not mint, but pretty respectable for an original boat.

More pics will be coming. The boat needs to be wet sanded, but for now we used some Collinites Boat Cleaner on it and waxed with carnuba and it looks pretty darn good.

It's a cool little boat. It fits in the garage between the 2 Malibus better than the 14' aluminum weI have.
