Dan? J-bears friend? it does say OH on the boat and they have winter gear on, but in 79 things use to freeze over in Ohio

jbear for sure, in his 77, i'd say it's the "icebreaker" run of 79.

Wherever did you find this picture?

John your old boat looks just like my buddies '77,the guy that got me into Correct Crafts. He started out with a 64 Skier liked it so much he bought the 77 in 86 or 87.He let me use the 64 and thats how I found my Mustang. He still has his 77 but has not used it in awhile with kids and work getting in the way.
How did Brian guess so close?

Great picture of your boat at the Bay.

Pulled it out of Mom's WSWSC scrap book. More to come... remember those Speedos??

Here is the entire picture from the paper.

I think it is from March 1982, so it wasn't your boat yet.

After re-reading the caption, are you driving or skiing? Could Steve H be driving??

Wow......I can only imagine what is in your Mom's scrapbook.

You called it Glen...I believe that is Steve (the P.O.) driving and me skiing. I am sure that my hair is brown in that picture. Cool shot on the side of Dennis. Musta been cold.

Boy..remember when the Bay looked that good and the cottage was crowded every weekend?

Thanks Glen!

Boat looks even better in the water....

Chantal does not look all that happy.....if it was sunny and warm I bet she would be smiling!

Is that you standing in the boat? So cool to get some pictures of the people we talk to on here. Can't wait to meet ya in person and show you around.

Thanks Jbear and Hollywood.
I'm happy with the result! Aside from the custom decals, she is original, and I like to keep it that way.
Oh, and Chantal was very happy. On the other pics she was acting kinda crazy, so I posted the more serious picture of her LOL

Jbear, you can't imagine how much we are looking forward to the summer of 2009!

Dang Kris that boats lookin good in the water. J bear I think that yellow might now be my favorite color on that style of SN. I've never seen one that wasn't totally faded out untill that pic. That was an awsome boat.

Thanks Zach. Remember that picture was taken in '86. That was the first time it was at our dock as mine. Before that it was owned by a guy in our club named Steve Henderson (his brother used to be on here) who unfortunatly died in the crash of a kit plane he and his Dad built. But it was in very clean condition and was the same when I sold it in '90. I loved the color...so much that I got all yellow gear. Also pulled it with a '78 Bronco that was brown with yellow pin-stripes. Great lookin' package.

John, has this tradition continued to present day? Is there anyone up there crazy as you, now that you're "retired" that still does this every March? Be neat to know. Obviously there's no such thing as a "replacement" for the Jbear, but you know what I mean!!!
