I am currently doing stringer and floor repair on my 88 ski. I have no experience with this kind of work, but with the help from a couple of friends things are going ok so far. When getting quotes for complete replacement, one guy (who I believe to be reputible and trustworthy) warned about sides of boat "flexing" and boat getting out of "balance" and being useless forever due to porposing(spelling?). Just wandering if anyone had ever seen or heard of this problem and how I can avoid. Thanks for any help.

When you foam under the deck leave it open for the foam to expand, then shave it flush and install the deck. The only way to flex it is to overfill the spaces and the pressure will bulge the hull out. As for the stringer replacements make sure the hull is well supported and after you remove the old stringers make sure the replacements are straight and the hull has not bulged outword.
