Pete, Riley, I know you guy's would appreciate the dredge I was on today, the plaque was dated, built in 1927 for Great Lakes Dredge company. and this thing still digs today, it has a 12 yard clamshell on it, an inline 12 or 16 morse fairbanks hooked up , about 20 feet long, hooked to a generater the size of a cement truck drum. Every piece of steel on this thing is riveted and it really felt like time travel.
went down in the galley and machine shop on board and just took a good tour of it and the guy's running it telling me about the shadows they see on board and noises at night in the bunk house, Im thinking to myself that this thing is only 15 years older than the titanic and its been working hard all these years. to duplicate this thing today would be 15 million plus

Must be fun...getting to go on some of the boats you do...beats staying in the shop in brunstucky.
