My boys put a knot in the only decent bought-at-the-local-watersport-shop water ski line that we have. This entitles me to a new line and handle for Father's Day. Anyone want to offer any guidance as to how to pick a good slalom line and handle?

Jim, head right over to Parafunalia, they'll hook you up with a nice line and handle.
Straightline makes a nice main line and there are a few handle options to choose from. I went with the "tractor" handle last year which I'm not thrilled with. It's a bit rough on the hands (I don't wear gloves). The 5 section 1/4 inch line is fine for my skiing ability, but jump up to the 8 section 3/8 inch line if you're a monster behind the boat
