Just talked to MM on the phone and we decided we'd like to get together over the Memorial Day Weekend. It'll be in the Orlando area. Nothing special, put the boats in, ride around and cook some hotdogs.
Anyone else interested?

JBear-
Do you guys have a day picked out? You know I would love to join you guys, but the boat is wrecked, first of all, and second, I have a few visitors coming down that weekend. If something changes with their plans, I will let you know.

Adam: Talked to MM tonite...looks like Monday. You know there will be space for you and your lady to ride with someone. Bring the Sport with you, get a motel for overnight and you can drop off the boat at SECC the next morning.
Foot: You know we love pics here. Enjoy the Masters!
Lake: Your post didn't show up here. But....mileage...not to far....yes it is warm and sunny...90's today....no you don't need a boat...yes there are gators everywhere but they ain't hungry this time of year. Dogs here are way cheaper than Disney. Better tasteing too. I have the real Stadium mustard from Cleveland. Hope that covers your questions and fears. C'mon down.

Not a bad idea, John. I will have to double check when the visitors are leaving. I could check two things off the "to do" list. 1. Drop boat off, 2. Meet some nice CCF patrons.

Hey J-Bear,
Wish we were near you guys so we could show up for the fellowship. It sounds like it would be fun. By the way, we took the Mustang out over the weekend. It was GREAT!!!! We slalomed and wakeboarded. I then had to pull my clowns (my brother and son) on the tubes. They have to brag about who can stay on the longest. I can't believe this boat still runs so well. My brother is a great mechanic, and he deserves all the credit. I even had to give a girl a ride. She had seen this boat for years, and wanted to know if we would give her a ride. I hope I have not jinxed myself talking about how good the boat ran this weekend. Maybe we will get brave enough to pull it again to Florida sometime. Hope you guys have a great Memorial Day, and I know you won't forget the guys over in Iraq fighting so we can have the freedoms we have. May God watch over those guys and keep them safe. Safe boating to you guys.

Jane:
You know we'd love to have you and the whole gang. Maybe someday.
Sounds as tho you guys had a great weekend. Family, water, sunshine and these old boats....don't get any better than that!
Dittos on the important reasons for Memorial Day.
Happy, safe boating right back to you and yours.

So, did you guys meet up? Wish I could have been there. SECC was closed on Saturday, and I could not afford the time off work this morning to make the trip down over the weekend. Since they were closed last weekend, Brian said I could bring the boat next weekend, and they will get her done quick.
Post some pics if you have any of the weekend.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I had a great time. In fact, it was so relaxing that I forgot to take pictures, which is very unusual for me. I like to take pictures!!!
My son took this one of the Jboat...

Mark, this is what I was talking about, white with black letters, this is what it would look like painted. Pete says this will make it "period correct".
BTW, all the babes that were there on Monday and you post a picture of my ugly mug, what gives?!?!?

I managed to get out on the water for a ride Saturday evening. Then went out Sunday afternoon. My brother and I managed to get one short barefoot run in before a supra with a wakeboard f'ed up our water. Tried the other end of the lake but it just got to windy.

Ok I know it has taken me a while but here are some more sandbar pictures.
The picture of the '80 is the only..brief..time it was in the water. First time in all my years and 6 C/C's that I put a boat in and it wouldn't run. Thankfully Keith was there but even he couldn't get her going. So she stayed in Orlando at his shop.
We had a great time none the less. It was windy and rough from to many boats out but we had a great time just being out there. Thanks to Mark and Lisa. Was very cool to meet AdamT's twin boys. I even pulled them tubing...but don't tell my brother.
A good time was had by all.
Thanks Steve! Mark's looks way better tho...can't wait to get his guy to redo my graphics.
Kristof...you are gonna go where ever you wanna go my friend. Me and Eddie talk about you and Chantal coming here all the time.

Marks's brother Keith has been telling me since last fall that the carb was needing rebuilt. Said to just bring it and he would take care of it. At the St. John's river a couple months ago it started to run kinda bad...then by the end of the day would not idle. Shoulda left it with Keith then but didn't. He had planned on keeping it after this past weekend to do a few things to it before our Tennessee visit in July. So now he's got it and will fix 'er up for us.
Did you get the trailer finished? Pictures? Enjoy the week off?

Buffalo: Never been there...why does Callaway suck?

John, absolutely nothing sux about Callaway...I was being sarcastic. It's know for waterskiing and its gardens. Many people go there just for the flowers...go figure?!!? LOL
My boat was supposedly a tow boat there. Maybe I'll trip over proof of it someday.

Jbear... Yep Poor Planning.
Brought too much food and NOT enuff beer. Didn't want to leave after the day was done and would have loved to stick around for another day. Usually go on Sat cause at least you get the chance to see ALL the invitees. It was a long day. Got there about 10:30am and left at about 8:00pm.
Took my 12 Yr old Step Daughter for the first time who brought a friend and they LOVED it! They want to go back next year.
Greg--- Most of wakeboarders opened up with a KGB so that is probably what he did. Those guys ROCK. After parking close to the water all day we actually had to move all our stuff back several feet to keep from getting wet from the wake coming of that Super Air. You could have body surfed the waves coming in to shore.
You could definately tell who the Athletes were if you walked around close to the pavillion. Hard Bods everywhere!!! PERFECT human specimans. And the guy's were in shape too!!
Oh you mean there are flowers there???? JJ!!
My boat was also rumored to have been an official towboat of the 88 Masters but no written proof. Even tried calling SECC to see if they had serial #'s of the boats used but they didn't.
Jbear.... Callaway Gardens is a stone's throw from Warm Springs, Ga. Home of the "Little White House"... You know... where FDR died during WWII. Don't you remember?

Uhhh Foot..forgot that bit of history. Musta cut that day in history class.
Went flying right over my head Greg. Patti used to work at Cypress Gardens before we got into what we do now. And people used to go there for the Gardens too...even tho its the home of show skiing. Go figure. We went to the Gardens last Saturday with backfoot and JoAnn for the ski show and Skynyrd. Both were great.
